What is Coaching?

What is Coaching?

Coaching is the art of facilitating self-awareness, personal insights, untapped potential and performance. Coaching is a process of self-directed learning and development of an individual or team to realize their inner potential. It is a professional partnership between a qualified coach and an individual or team that supports the achievement of tangible and intangible results, based on goals set by the individual or team. Coaching is about asking powerful questions to help individuals finding their own answers. It is also a journey and discovery of one’s inner self. Coaching empowers individuals to overcome challenges in order to achieve their goals. Coaching delivers fulfillment to the individual, or in case of a company, to both, the individual and the related organization.

When is Coaching Successful?

Coaching is successful when clear goals have been set and there is awareness, understanding and action.

Successful coaching means:

  • There are both awareness and action
    • Clear goals have been set
    • Understanding is achieved
  • “Interference” is gone
  • There is balance between the skill level and the desired outcome
  • The individual or team is successful at attaining a higher level of performance
  • It is not the coach who “wins”. It is the individual, the team and the whole organization who “wins”

Coaching starts with a need. A need to change something you are not satisfied with in your private and/or professional life. You are aware that the process of change is not an easy path. Being coachable requires that you are:

  • Honest to yourself
  • Ready, willing, committed, accountable for your actions
  • Able to change

All individuals and organizations we work with understand the value of a coach. Our customers have a high intrinsic motivation to improve, learn, grow, and succeed. Many of our non-corporate customers seek for clarity, direction or a new focus in their life.

Both, corporate or non-corporate customers have many things in common. There is a need, an awareness or urge to change something. They are coachable to achieve & to create what they want to happen in the future – as individual, husband, wife, partner, spouse, professional member of a team, a leading decision-maker or the woman / man at the top.
